Ronald Ngala led KADU, the party of smaller communities that pushed for regional government (majimbo) at independence. Ngala later joined Kenyatta's KANU and served as a minister until his death in 1972. Born in 1923 in Gotani, Kilifi County. Died on 25 December 1972 in Nairobi, after a road accident.
